The 6326 is SSN's smallest and oldest steam locomotive. It is so-called fireless steam engine. The boiler is filled with hot water and hot steam. A water temperature of 192 degrees Celcius gives a boiler pressure of 12 atmospheres. The steam added to the boiler condenses and this causes the water level to rise to its maximum. Thanks to the thermic capacity of the water any steam used is replaced and the locomotive can run for a number of hours.
