(26) New Alanis album probably coming out February next year says the Rolling Stone newsletter and MTV.. so I guess it must be true :(

 

(25) The new official Alanis Morissette site is up!! It uses flash 5, available for download on the Macromedia site! The new site is wonderful and has more features than the old one! The new site has all the new lyrics on it! Some of them may change.. but at least we get to see the new lyrics and not just guess at them :) And there's also a list of the songs that will be on the new album! Alanis has written 27 songs in total and they say that the list can still change and the lyrics of the songs can still change too..

(20) Alanis will be playing at the Now and Zen Festival this sunday (23 September 2001) in San Francisco! The festival is sponsored by Radio Station Alice, 97.3 FM and will be taking place at Golden Gate Park.. Macy Gray and Shelby Lynne will also be there...

(19) There is an Alanis' interview in Octobers 'Rolling Stone'. The interview is about her new album and it includes a new picture from the studio.

 

 

Ironic was about to get banned from the radio, because of the US attack! But now they have decided that's its up to the radio stations good taste to play a song or not. Check Chartattack.com for more information...

Alanis plans on doing a proper tour in January 2002! This was the last question of an interview in the latest Q magazine: Question: What's next?     Answer: Finish the record, play some shows before Christmas, do a proper tour in January. Remember, I'm the boss now.

Another tribute cd is coming up! (A tribute to Alanis Morissette) It will be available in stores September 11th.. It is produced by a label called 'Big Eye' but no-one seems to know who the band or the singer is..

 

The new alanismorissette.com site will be up very soon.. they told us again :)

Alanis attended the premiere of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back on August 15 2001 in Los Angeles! Alanis will be showing up on the screen at the end of the movie, just like in Dogma! Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will be in theatres August 24 in North America!

June 2001:

 

Two months after speaking to a congressional committee on copyright law, Alanis Morissette has agreed to speak at a digital music conference in New York on the same issues. Morissette was tapped for the Plug.In Festival, which runs from July 23rd to the 24th. The festival will feature reps from Napster, Aimster, record company execs and other music industry insiders and professionals speaking on issues affecting the burgeoning digital music market.

I've won the higer award for my site!

 

Alanis Morissette is in the studios right now to record a new album. It's unknown when the album will be available in stores.

 

There is going to be a sequel to 'Dogma': "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back!" And ofcourse Alanis will play in it again! :) It is going to be released in theatres 10 August 2001.

Music in High Places debutes October 6th with Alanis Morissettes journey to the Navajo Nation. The episode captures the singer, songwriter and musician's personal and poignant journey through Canyon de Chelly and the surrounding areas with the help of three Navajo guides via foot, horseback and four-wheel drive. It will be broadcasted on international television and on MSN.

Madonna's PR agent confirmed that Madonna and her brother in law, Joe Henry, have written a song with Alanis for her new album. They stated it is a duet, but they have not confirmed who will be singing with Alanis.

 

Alanis Morissette, who made her movie debut alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon last year in Kevin Smith's Dogma, will be gracing the small screen with her acting talents shortly; she reportedly shares a steamy kiss with Sarah Jessica Parker in an upcoming installment of HBO's Sex and the City. The episode "Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl" — scheduled to air June 25 — was filmed in New York City, where the singer recently made her Broadway debut with a month-long run in The Vagina Monologues
