Information and Communication Technology and Learning
This website is all about telelearning, the process of making connections among persons and resources through communication technologies for learning related purposes. I, Rogier van der Hee from the Delft University of Technology, and Marco Schmucker from the University of Hohenheim, have written an essay about a subtopic of telelearning. This was done for a teleseminar, held from May till July 1998. Our topic was: "Potentials, realised solutions and trends of telelearning in vocational training". We wish you a lot of fun with reading!

The essay
From May till July this year, a Teleseminar about Telelearning is held at the University of Hohenheim and at the Delft Univesity of Technology. The purpose is that the students learn something about the issues related to Telelearning. Furthermore, a German student and a Dutch student have to write -together- an essay about a certain topic. Our topic is: "Potentials, realised solutions and trends of telelearning in vocational training". Facilities to accomodate the writing of this essay are e-mail, ICQ, Proshare (videoconferencing tool), a mailinglist, a newsgroup and more. More information about the Teleseminar and the organisation around it, can be found here.
