Gîte
at Pinet, May 2004 in trip report at http://johnbirding.wolweb.nl - John van der Woude This section is about the holiday
home (gîte, cottage) that we rented near Millau, S
France. |
View from above Pinet to the other side of the Tarn valley. The gîte is the house on the foreground. |
View on Pinet from the other side of the Tarn valley. The gîte is the most lefthand house. The whitish block to the left of the house is the terrace plus an extra bedroom plus bathroom below (with separate entrance). The road below the hamlet is very quiet. The pasture with shrubs left below the gîte belongs to the gîte and has nice plants and birds (like Melodious Warbler). |
The living of the gîte as seen from near the upper bedroom. |
The kitchen of the gîte, opening onto the terrace. Kitchen includes dish washer and microwave oven. The wood stove is more for winter. |
The terrace of the gîte. This on the outside (not the village side) of the gîte. View across the Tarn river valley. Golden Oriole playing in the poplars along the river. |
