- Giant bid on Felipe?
- Brazilian rumour has it that PSV made Vasco da Gama a
giant offer for leftback Felipe Jorge Loureiro. The 20
year old could be one of the replacements for Numan and
Jensen, who both left the club. Since the word is that
the offer exceeds USD 12 million (!) we don't think it
very likely though. On the other hand, Felipe's star is
rising fast in Brazil and PSV might expect to recuperate
the 12 million dollars easily when selling him later.
Official PSV sources wouldn't confirm the story. Neither
were they willing to comment on the rumour that Vasco
already turned down two previous offers. To be
continued....(we hope)

their all new Arke Stadium. Playing very uninspired and
without some key players, PSV contributed to the
celebrations by loosing 3-0. As a gift to FC Twente
Phillip Cocu even missed a spot kick! Players on the
verge of a yellow card suspension, like Numan and Jonk,
were benched, thus preventing them from missing out on

star player. He said he doesn't want to spend 25 or 30
million guilders for a 28 years old who's not a really
topplayer. But should the player only be 22 or 23 he

-
- Numan almost surely to Glasgow Rangers
- PSV have reached an agreement with Glasgow Rangers about
a transfer from Arthur Numan to the Scottish club. The
transfer fee wasn't made known, but Van Raaij said before
that it's more than 15 million guilders. Probably between
15 and 20 million guilders. Glasgow Rangers still have to
agree with Arthur Numan himself. The captain has already
let know he will choose Glasgow Rangers. Atletico Madrid
isn't an option anymore for Numan. Important things which
made him choose Glasgow Rangers were the fact that Dick
Advocaat is coach there next year and the possibility for
a good social life in Scotland. Numan was afraid he
couldn't have a normal social life in Spain, because of
all the attention of the media and the way soccer is
being experienced there. The negotiations will be rounded
off very soon. "Officially I haven't agreed with
Glasgow Rangers yet. PSV only just gave me the right to
negotiate, but I have already had an indication of the
contract terms, also the financial ones, and this won't
stop a transfer. It will probably be three or four years
Glasgow. The club has invested a lot in me and there has
to be done something back for this." PSV allowed him
to go at end, because of the things Numan did for the
club and because the club could catch a good transfer fee
for him. Atletico Madrid have done PSV an offer of 7.5
million dollars (about 15 million guilders) yesterday,
but Numan choosed Glasgow Rangers. It's not known whether
this bid of Atletico Madrid would have been accepted if
Numan choosed the Spanish club.

Anna hospital in Geldrop. There are doubts about his
competing in the Amstel Cup final and even the World Cup.

during the half-time of PSV-FC Groningen because of this
injurie.

- Waterreus not interested in Dortmund
- According to the 'Algemeen Dagblad', goalie Ronald
Waterreus has no plans to leave to Germany. Waterreys

Björn van der Doelen any longer. The Belgian club only

to talk about a buy-option, because they still have big
trust in the midfielder.
-
- Vink has to wait?
- If we believe the 'Algemeen Dagblad', it's still not sure
whether Marciano Vink will stay longer at PSV or not. He
would have been told by PSV that they will tell him in
two weeks whether he gets a new contract. This also was a
big surprise for himself. There would already have been
decided before that he has to leave, but now PSV may have
changed their mind. That would also be the reason why
there wasn't a farewell for Vink yesterday. He started
training again today after another injurie.

- PSV-FC Groningen 6-2
- Win in last homematch
- Groningen 45 minutes on the lead

- Ride trough the stadium for leaving players
- After the match today there was organised a farewell for
Dick Advocaat, Philip Cocu, Jaap Stam, Marc Degryse and
Jan-Willem van Ede. They were first thanked in the middle
of the field and then they were driven in 2 cars trough
the stadium to say goodbye to the supporters. Almost
everyone had stayed in the stadium for this. Especially
Dick Advocaator the WC and the Cup finals. But Cocu's day
was destroyed six minutes in injry time. For a little
foul Cocu received a yellow card from referee Dick Jol.
This means Cocu can't say goodbye to the PSV public in
next week's last home match. Cocu will transfer to
Barcelona next year. A very big disappointment for Cocu.
Cocu told after the match that he felt terrible, he
admitted to make a foul, but it was not worth a yellow
card, especially since he hadn't made a fool in the whole
match and hadn't said anything to the referee. When
referee Jol heard of the consequence of this yellow card,
he was very sorry. Cocu will get an automatic suspension
for one match now.
-
- Kleber Leite: 'We don't want to sell Gilberto'
- PSV earlier admitted to us, they want to sign Brasilian
defender Gilberto to replace captain Artur Numan.
According to Dutch soccer magazine VI today PSV would
have reached an agreement for US$750.000 with Flamengo.
In a reaction to this news Kleber Leite, the Flamengo's
president, said that the PSV can not get Gilberto for
US$750.000 even in a loan, so imagine what he will cost
to buy. Leite also said they don't want to sell Gilberto
to PSV. therefore they use the same technique PSV uses
since a month after all the speculations about our stars
leaving. They won't name a transfer fee, in a try to stop
the negotiations and not to damage their strategic
position in negotiations.
-
- Machlas: 'PSV or abroad'
- According to Greec papers Nikos Machlas has said his
future will be with PSV or abroad. The chance he will go
to PSV will be small in our opinion as Vitesse Arnhem
demands 15 million dollar for the Greec striker, who may
become European topscorer this season.
-
- Next week decision of Numan
- Arthur Numan will make his decision about his future next
week. Then he will decide which team Numan will go to.
Numan has to choose between Atletico Madrid and Glasgow
Rangers. Both teams didn't have an agreement on the
transfer fee yet. The 20 year old leftback and captain of
PSV wants to go abroad for an adventure his last years of
his career.
