The Amaryllis in Holland are grown in greenhouses. The temperature in
the greenhouse is kept between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. The soil temperature must be
above 21 degrees.
Amaryllis bulbs will flower after two years of culture. It takes the plant so long to
grow big enough to produce flowers.
A bulb with a outline of 24 cm is able to flower, but will probably flower with only
one stem. Bigger bulbs can give two stems or more when treated well.
