Welcome to my page. I'm glad you could make it!!
Ok, now lets
see about me. I'm Leo, 61
years young and married now for 30 years with Dorota.
How i did that
I'll tell you more
privately
on a secret place.
We've a
daughter Amanda
who's 26 years old and a son Patrick who's 20 years old now.
I'm born
and raised in a small
village
called Maasland.
Maasland
with a population of 7000 people and still growing is situated very
close
to major cities like The Hague and Rotterdam
at the border
of the so called " Midden Delfland
" which stands for the area where the Dutch grow their famous flowers
and vegetables.
A charming village
surrounded
by canals and much green land.
It is a
pleasure showing you a few
pictures.
Remember Maasland is not a village with loads of tourist visits.
We keep it
silence, Its great too discover
my village by foot or bike. Its here quiet, we have a great view
over the fields
where you can see
graze
cows and sheep's .Agriculture, horticulture and cattle-breeding is
important
for us.
We've no
traffic lights, metro, apartment
buildings, cinema, nightclubs and McDonald's,
ohhh.... there
are a few shops,
uhhh......lesser
then 5, 3 bars and a restaurant.
Since a few
years we got also a 30 KM
(18 miles) driving limit in the whole city. If you come by car, park
your
car just off the A20 motorway,
at the parking
of the bus station and
have a pleasant walk around our village.
We've one
museum called " De
Schilpen " only opened on Saturday's. It’s a 150 years Old
Dutch
grocer/candy store
and decorated as a museum since 1981.
Volunteers sold to the visitors and give any information you wanted.
On a regular base expositions are held,
and when the weather is fine you can have a cup of coffee outside on
the
terrace.
Take the small foot-pad just outside the
village and follow the canal where you'll find a small ferry,
take a return trip to the such
called " Duifpolder,Commandeurspolder
and Broekpolder " and see the beauty from the water.
Just step of the ferry at the restaurant
called 't Jachthuis and have a coffee or any other drink and see the
small
sailing crafts or rowing boats passing
the terrace or rent one yourselves.
Ohhh..... by
the way before I forget!!
I do have a car and I’m not a farmer,
don’t live in a
mill and don't walk on
wooden shoes,
but I’ve in
springtime a tulips in the
garden.
So now you know
a little about my village
and me.
