Thoughts
I've got a real strong opinion on
things, sometimes that works in favour of me, sometimes it doesn't.
That is why i try to write it down in the hope I will overthink
everything well enough. The thing that keeps spinning through my
mind lately is the injustice that is being done in the country I
live in since i was born: the Netherlands. Nobody in this country
is poor. At least compared to the rest of the world. But in the
Netherlands the differences between rich and poor are getting bigger
and bigger. Since the economy went down and down and down some
people got strange ideas, and it happened to be that these people
are in the Dutch governement. Me, myself I come out of a family who
has nothing to fear. Okay, we've got to take a few steps back, but
we will never reach the edge of the decision: food, or no food. The
decision we might have to make is: new tv, or no new tv. It makes me
sick that the gap is that big, and the worst thing of all is, that
the dutch governement makes the gap only bigger and bigger. Those
who have got nothing are not getting a change to get anything, and
those who have everything will remain having everything. I can't
understand how a governement can take a decision like that. I
mean... People who have nothing, must deserve a change to climb up
the wall. The opinion of the governement is: They allready had the
change to climb up that wall and join the "better, higher educated"
people. But I can not agree with that. Okay some people might have
missed the boat the first time, but I think the boat must come every
half an hour, and not once in 4 years. Everybody must be able to
jump aboard. Unfortunatly there is nothing to do about it. Strikes
have no effect. The governement keeps saying: within 8 years you
will be happy with the decision you make. But 8 years might be to
long for those who have nothing left.... |
